About NRCan



Natural Resources Canada, Buildings Group is involved in research, development and deployment of residential and commercial building energy technologies. We aim to develop and help accelerate to market a new generation of energy efficient building technologies that will help reduce energy consumption and lower greenhouse gas emissions. Our Technology Development Strategy drives our programs so our projects and activities can meet this 'green' objective.

We work across four groups (Commercial, Residential, International and Simulation) in the following areas:

Greetings Colleagues,

As a member of an organization, institute or association with interest in radiant research you are invited to listen in on an international conference call where researchers from the National Research Council Canada will discuss with designated representatives from various association an ongoing federally funded research project having the following objectives:

Determine state-of-the-art for radiant floor heating and controls.

Compare radiant floor heating system with forced-air heating systems for residential application (performance: energy efficiency, thermal comfort and ventilation).

Develop hybrid systems and innovative control strategies.
