Radiant Cooling and Heating - Part I & Part II
55 second load
on a high speed server - but well worth the wait...take a
deep breath...hold ....and exhale....repeat one more time. While holding your breath, make note of the load progress in the lower left hand corner of your screen.

Radiant Cooling & Heating Application Principles

Heat Transfer Resistance Nodes for Evaluating Radiant System
Designs.
Radiant uses conduction to heat or cool a mass such as a
floor, then radiant to emit energy to cooler surface when
heating or absorb energy from hotter surfaces when cooling.
Radiant energy transfer is a nominal 1.1 Btu/hr/sf *
∆oF between the room and surface
temperature. Convection contributes to heat transfer
for radiant heated floors or chilled ceilings but not
chilled floors or heated ceilings...can you guess why?
This is a very big topic and we'll be adding lots more
materials from our sponsors as they come forward. In
the meantime please enjoy what is here now and if you have
