What does it mean to be certified?

The certification process includes a decertification process meaning individuals not meeting the continuing requirements can have their certification revoked. Consumers can trigger the process with their letters of concern to the issuing association .

Though certification is not a guarantee for quality designs and installations, it is one of several ways of checking the qualifications of those working on your project.

Be advised, having a certificate of completion is not the same as being certified which is enforced by a contractual agreement.

Before you decide on a designer/contractor check their memberships and training with the following groups:

AHAC
ASHRAE
ACCA
CIPH/CHC
HRAI
RHWHA
RPA
SMACNA
MCAA

Visit our Blog "Top Gun Awards" to establish a benchmark for installation quality.

"Your course has given me so much more confidence and a good understanding of "designing with hydronics", that I can now move ahead knowing that I can do a better job. Your teaching methods and course design have really clarified the many questions that have been tucked away in my head. It's just like the feeling the guy had when he said, "Eureka!!, I've found it". To sum it all up, it was a great course with an even greater instructor. All the best and I am looking forward to hopefully getting the chance to study with you again."

The Role of Interior Design on Indoor Comfort Quality
Calgary, Ab.
Canadian Institute of Plumbing and Heating

Here what they say...

"I have been involved in Hydronic Heating for 23 years... I have not attended or seen a course that compares to what was taught these last 4 days. All other courses have been taught by manufactures that mix in their products. This was down to the basics with no product specifics. Do the math you can't go wrong! Robert Bean covers everything very well. He was very open to repeat and was very willing to go over any stumbling blocks for all who attended. I will be discussing with our Regional Management Team to proceed with getting the rest of our heating people in the province to be certified." Dave Heath, Hydronics Manager - Southern Alberta, Wolseley Mechanical Group

Mike Lampkin, President

“As witnessed by everyone else here, Robert is a unique combination of technical prowess and communicative skills. There aren’t very many people that know their individual fields of expertise so well and be able to actually relay that info in a non-confusing manner to laymen.”
Jeffrey Young
