Abstract:
This three hour webinar focuses on the impact and importance human factor design has on creating thermal comfort in residential buildings. Thermal effects of climate changes on people, especially the infirm, infants and elderly, are presented as well as strategies and tactics for passive cooling for people and buildings in B.C. climates. Additionally two case studies describing building and occupant comfort design challenges and solutions in mixed and cold climates are explored.
