Andrew is an architect, performative design consultant and computer programmer. He has worked on many international performance-driven building projects and authored a wide range of technical and analytical design software that is now in widespread use in both education and practice.
Andrew studied architecture at the University of Western Australia and received his doctoral degree there. He has worked as an environmental analyst, consultant, university lecturer, research fellow, computer software engineer and company director. He co-founded a startup software development company that was acquired by Autodesk, where he worked for a number of years in the area of simulation and analysis in BIM. He was the original creator of Ecotect (now Autodesk Ecotect Analysis), is also creative director of the Natural Frequency Journal and regularly contributes research papers at international conferences and in other journals.
