A Roundtable Discussion: The future in
Hydronics (maybe)....
Just in case you were asking...see Part 3 for my forecast
of
the top five trends
in hydronic heating and cooling - discussed at the 2012
ACCA Roundtable.
BNP Media's
theNEWS captured this and snippets from my other industry
colleagues. BNP is the media sponsor for the
Carlson-Holohan Industry Award of Excellence. A great conference led by
Dan Foley and the
ACCA
Team.
Short strokes: my long term forecast for trends
in hydronics includes non compression and non combustion based
systems using geo (i.e. without heat pumps) and
solar
thermal,
community based HVAC systems (district energy possibly cogen),
radiant walls for retrofit applications, and
standardized hydronic control appliances. For general HVAC
and power systems I see the continuing use of
dedicated outdoor ventilation system (DOAS aka
HRV/ERV) for dehumidification, decontamination and
deodorization and photovoltaic's for power and peak load
heating. |
